The compiled service records for these men at the NARA have many statements that they died
at Hood Hospital, Covington, Georgia.  It seems that in fact, they died in the hospital set up
in Oxford College.  This cemetery is on college grounds.

                                                  Zachariah Dutton was born in Lawrence County, Alabama, 
                                                  the son of Jarrard Dutton and Charity McDaniel (McDonald). 
                                                  He moved to Walker County, Alabama, ca. 1839 with his family, 
                                                  where his parents are believed to have died; he then lived 
                                                  with the family of James Dutton, his cousin. He married Mary 
                                                  Emily Rushing ca. 1851, and was the father of four children: 
                                                  Sarah Edna Dutton, who married Jeff Burrow; Eliza Jane Dutton, 
                                                  who married Jacob Daily Lindsey; George Washington Dutton, 
                                                  who married Nancy Jane Beddingfield; and Simeon B. Dutton, 
                                                  who married Dicey Adaline Stewart.  He became ill and died
                                                  at the hospital at Oxford, Georgia]
