BARBEQUE in the grove near the Academy in Macon to honor
candidate Matthew Talbot, is being arranged by a
committee of Timothy Matthew, M. Chisholm, Thomas Napier,
Thomas Lundy, Samuel Tompkins, Mark D. Clarke, Baldwin
Fluker, Harrison Smith, John B. Wick, Simon Parker,
Robert Collins, Capt. B. Loyd, E. McCall.

Page 18 November 20, 1827

Negroes "under the control of the Commissioners of the
Ocmulgee Navigation" will be hired next June 1st at the
courthouse in Macon, by Harrison Smith, Roger McCall, and
Samuel Gillespie, commissioners.

Cotton, Harrison Smith, John T. Rowland, Charles Bullock
& John T. Lamar.
