Agnes R. Kibby

Agnes R. Kibby, 91, passed away at Lodi Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 
6, 2005 from complications brought on by a stroke. She was born on January 24, 
1914 in Oakland, CA. 
A resident of the Stockton area for more than 50 years, Agnes moved from French 
Camp to the family home on West Sonoma Avenue in Stockton in 1953. Her husband 
of 52 years, Theodore O. Kibby, died in August 1984. In addition to raising her 
family, she was a seasonal cannery worker and was a member of Grace United 
Methodist Church. She loved fishing and for many years she and her husband 
spent several months each year on the Washington coast in their trailer home. 
Agnes is survived by three of her four children, daughter Shirley Thomas of 
Lodi; and twin sons Donald Kibby of Lafayette, CA., and Ronald Kibby of 
Redlands, CA. A third son, Warren Louis Kibby, passed away in 1999. 
She enjoyed her 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-
grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Lois Baetchen, of Paso 
Robles, CA, Mary Ellen McClellan, of Burney, CA, and Peggy Booth, of Turlock, 
CA, and by a brother, Gaylord Pritchard, of Walnut Creek, CA.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, February 9 and 10, 2005, from 
10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home, 520 North Sutter 
Street, Stockton. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, 
February 11, at Stockton Rural Cemetery, 2350 Cemetery Lane.
