SPRINGDALE — Byrd Catherine Preece, 74, of Springdale died June 11, 2009. She 
was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Springdale to Gillis and Gertie Cooper King.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Roger D. Preece Jr. and Robin T. Preece, both of 
Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Karen Blackstone of Springdale and Yvonne 
Nielsen of Virginia Beach.

Services will be private.
