SPRINGDALE -- Wanda Owens, 71, of Springdale died Nov. 17, 2003, at 
Springdale.  She was born March 1, 1932, in Battlefield, Mo., to Milford and 
Nannie Mae Ellen Silkil Slifton.  She was a homemaker and a member of the 
First Baptist Chruch in Springdale and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Milford Owens and wife Patricia of Canton, Mich; 
one daughter, Gina Owens of Springdale; one brothe, Ira Clifton of Sarcoxie, 
Mo.; one sister, Wilma Robinette of Sarcoxie; three grandchildren; four great-
grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in 
Springdale with Paul Woodhouse officiating.  Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddied Richardson, George Robinette, Robbie Riggins, James 
Yielding, Sammy Griggs and TIm Stansell.

Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Clifton.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  The 
family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
