James Adrian Rowell, 78, of Calion died Tuesday in an El Dorado Hospital.  
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Calion Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordie 
Givens and the Rev. Allen Packard officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethel 
Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.  Masonic graveside 
services will be held by Champagnolle Masonic Lodge No. 666. Mr. Rowell was 
born Aug. 11, 1900 in Castor, La., the son of James Wylie and Sadie Ann Garner 
Rowell.  He was a retired tile layer and marble mason, a member of the 
Champagnolle Masonic Lodge 666 and a Baptist.  Survivors include his wife, 
Mrs. Fannie Leopard Rowell; two sons, J. A. Rowell Jr. of Shreveport, La., and 
Donald R. Rowell of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Leo Key of Sulphur, 
La.; and one brother, Eddie Rowell of Shreveport, La., eight grandchildren and 
five great grandchildren.  Pallbearers will be Byrl Leopard, Thomas Leopard, 
Ray David, Wallace Davis, Andy Davis and James Alfred Parker.  Honorary 
pallbearers will be Rupert Calley, Boyd Evans, Morris Perdue, Thomas Murphy, 
Paul Oliver, Frank Rogers and George Lawton.
