Mrs. Dorothy Kirkland Fox of Forrest City died Wednesday, Dec 30, 1992, at Baptist
Memorial Hospital-Forrest City. She was 78. Mrs. Fox was born June 5, 1914, in
Philadelphia, Miss, to Lawrence M Kirkland and Amy Little Kirkland. She had lived in
Forrest City most of her life where she was a housewife and a member of Caldwell Baptist
Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge (Forrest City Chapter 1727), American
Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Walter Henry Fox, in 1978. She leaves a daughter, Mary Carolyn Lloyd of
Forrest City; a sister, Maxine Kirkland Harvey of Forrest City; and three grand-children,
James Lloyd Jr, Walter Manning Lloyd and Karen Joan Lloyd. Funeral services will be held
Monday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rufus Crawford
officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Memphis under the direction of
Stevens Funeral Home.
