Bill Nance May 24, 1973 Times Dispatch

BILL NANCE
William Nance, aged 69, of Walnut Ridge, died Thursday morning at 11:45
in Lawrence Hall Nursing Home following several months illness.
He was born in Walnut Ridge and served in the armed forces during World
War 11, He was a retired watch repairman and a member of the first
Baptist church and the American Legion.
Survivors include two sisters, Pauline Luster of Kansas City, MO, and
Louise Newton of Walnut Ridge; and a half-brother, Maxie Helms of
Hallandale, Florida.
Funeral was Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the chapel of Bryan Funeral
Home with the Rev. Glynn Campbell officiating, Burial was in Lawrence
memorial Park by Bryans.
Pallbearers were Dale Hancock, Ira Phillips, Leslie Baker, Billy Joe
Davis, Ernest Cook and Leonard Counts.

George T. Nance. His mother was Christine Benningfield/Helms. Step 
father
was Charles Edward Helms. His sisters were Francis Louise Helms/Newton
