Theodore Stephens, aged 34 died at his home on Laurel Street last
night at 6 oclock, after along illness.
Mr. Stephens was born in Newport in Aug 1889, the son of George K. and
Alice York Stephens and was a member of the oldest and most prominent
families in Jackson County.
He is survived by his mother, his wife who was Miss Beulah Dyer of
Newport, 5 young children: Guy, Florine, Mark, T. S., and Elizabeth, 
to whom the sympathy of many friends is extended.
The deceased was a young man of many sterling qualities that endeared 
him to a large circle of friends, who are grieved for his loss.
The funeral will be held tommorrow morning at 10 oclock from the
residence. Rev. F. A. Lark officiating. at the cemetery the ritual of 
the Masonic Lodge will be observed.
The honorary pallbearers will be, Charles K. Coe, Roy Umsted, Joe
Younger , George A. Hillhouse, H. D. Sullivan, Jack Montgomery. 
The active pallbearers will be Richard Bullock, Judge J. F. Parish,
Will Reed, Charles Burkett, Herbert Payne, J. D. Sisson.
