"Newport Cemetery
Union Township, Jackson County, Arkansas"

"Established as Newport Cemetery, this cemetery was divided in later 
years, with the west section becoming Gum Grove Cemetery.  The east 
section became known as 'Potter's Field.'

This inventory was made Nov. 4, 1976, by James Logan Morgan, Chalman E. 
Green and Mae Chinn Green."
