I. H. Parson

Irvin H. Parson, 65, of 704 Warren died Thursday night at his home.

He had lived in the Jonesboro area for many years, was a farmer, a 
veteran of World War I and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Parson, a son, Kelcy L. Parson 
of Jonesboro, four sisters, Mrs. Ella Lakey of Jonesboro, Route 2, Mrs.
Henrietta Miles of Burlington, North Carolina, Mrs. Hattie Bennett of 
Bono, Route 2, and Mollie Wiles of Kingsport, Tenn, a half-sister, Mrs. 
Lillie Cox of Little Rock, and a brother, Aaron Parson of Tuscumbia, Ala.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Gregg Funeral Home in charge.

My name is RaNae Smith Vaughn.  Here is a second obituary of my 
great-uncle by marriage.  It was located in the Jonesboro Evening Sun 
Page 12, Col. 6, dated Thursday, Oct. 20, 1960.

Parson Rites

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Oak Ridge
Church for Irvin H. Parson, 65, of 704 Warren who died Tuesday.  Elder 
Jewel McCrackin and Elder Oscar Biggs will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be John Wiles, Guy Parson, Oscar Bennett, Glen Bennett,
Hinson Bennett and Charlie Bennett.
