Herbert Beck, 73, of 1309 Holly, died Wednesday night in St. Bernard's
Regional Medical Center.  Beck had spent most of his life around
Jonesboro and was an electrician for several years.  He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Beck of the home; one son,
Eugene Beck of Jonesboro; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Wood of Jonesboro;
two sisters, Mrs. Willie Barham of Springdale and Mrs. Edna Ellis of
Jonesboro; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 Friday afternoon in the Farmers
Union Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Keith Goza and Rev. Mitchell
Sanford officiating, with burial in Trinity Cemetery under the direction
of Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers include Cleo Arrington, Delbert Turner Sr., Leroy
Hargett, Walter Darr, Bill Turner, and Bill Stinnett. .
