Gilda Shook 

            Gilda ?Sis? Faye Shook, lifetime resident of Decatur and Gravette, 
Arkansas, died March 11, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center, 
Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born March 5, 1940 in Benton County, Arkansas, she was 
the daughter of William Ben Philpott and Goldie Rutherford Philpott. She was 
employed by Franklin Electric, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, until her retirement. 
Gilda was a great cook, and made the best ice cream and pecan pies. She was 
affiliated with Decatur Assembly of God Church.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and three 
sisters.

            Survivors include her husband Wayne Shook of Gravette, Arkansas; 
five sons, Richard Philpott and wife Kim of Colcord, Oklahoma, Wayne Shook and 
wife Karen and Darrell Philpott, all of Maysville, Arkansas, Randy Shook and 
wife Toni of Jerico Springs, Missouri, and Tad Shook and wife Sandy of Sulphur 
Springs, Arkansas; three daughters, Wanda Fiorito and husband Mike of Noel, 
Missouri, Vicki Marshall and husband Wesley of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and 
Deanna Arnold and husband Jason of Pineville, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 20 
great grandchildren; six brothers; and two sisters.

            Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2009, at 
Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Mr. Jim Whisenant 
officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, 
Arkansas. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2009, at 
Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas
