Frances S. Morris, 85, died peacefully in her home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas,
on June 10, 2009. She was born July 22, 1923, in Newburg, New York, to Emilia
and Vincent Gabron. After high school graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C.,
to work, during World War II,  where she met Dwight L. Morris from Lamesa, Texas.
After the war, they were married in Newburg, on May 5, 1946, and then moved to
Texas to his family farm.   After two years (in 1948) the extended family moved
to Siloam Springs. She and Dwight lived and raised their children on the family
dairy farm five miles south of town. She had several jobs in town for local
businesses but is best remembered by the farm community as the clerk for several
area sale barns. She was also a devoted homemaker who provided many a hearty
meal for family, friends, and farm hands. She moved into town in 1979 after the
death of her husband and sale of the farm.

She was a member of and volunteer for several local organizations including Oak
Hill Memorial Chapel Committee, Sager Creek Arts Center, Siloam Springs Museum
Board, and Siloam Springs Senior Citizens Activity Center. She was also a
member of the First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight L. Morris; her parents,
Emilia and Vincent Gabron; one daughter, Mary Kerr Hotubbee; one grandson,
Warren Clark Kerr; and one brother, Edward Gabron.

She leaves behind one son, D. Vincent Morris and wife Susan of Siloam Springs;
one daughter, Frances G. Price and husband Clay of Little Rock, Arkansas; a
brother, Michael Gabron and wife Sophie of Hartford, Connecticut; a brother,
Gregory Gabron of Las Vegas, Nevada; and five sisters: Helen Krantz of San
Antonio, Texas; Mary Wakefield of Hartford, Connecticut, Lucia Cusa and husband
Paul of Highland, New York; Wanda Johnson of Broomfield, Colorado; and Valerie
Gabron of Jersey City, New Jersey.

She also leaves behind five special grandsons: Wesley V. Morris, currently in
Iraq ; Christopher Kerr and wife Tanya of Pleasanton, Texas; Wade Morris of
Fayetteville, Arkansas ; Carter Price of Maryland, Virginia ; and Stuart Price
of Washington, D.C.  She has six dearly loved great grandchildren as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009, at First United
Methodist Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Siloam Springs Senior Citizens
Building Fund or the First United Methodist Church Generations Fund
