The LaFayette Sun
H. Ingram, 90-year-old Confederate veteran, died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. T. A. McKay, in Five Points, last Friday at 3 p.m. The deceased was born and
reared in Clay County and had made that section his home for the greater part of
his life, having come to Five Points one year ago to make his home there with his
daughter. He was a well-known figure in his section, having served that section
as a local Baptist preacher for many years. Funeral services were held in
Bethlehem church in Clay County Saturday at one o'clock and interment was in the
family burying plot in the nearby cemetery. Revs. W. M. Garrett and T. J. Ingram
were the officiating ministers.
