SMITH  RANCH  CEMETERY
The Smith Ranch Cemetery is located in Northwestern McCulloch County,
approximately 3 miles east of Stacy, off County Road 373.

It is on private property, about one-half mile inside the Smith Ranch and about
0.3 mile south of the ranch headquarters.

Permission must be obtained to enter.

There are actually two burial sites, containing a total of 17 graves.  

The earliest grave is that of an infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Smith,
Sr., dated 1896, which is nearer the ranch headquarters than the 16 other graves
in the main burial plot.  Both plots are well maintained and fenced with chain
link fencing.

Photographs of the plots and of the individual tombstones, taken in June, 1999,
are in the possession of Jerry Betsill, Brady, Texas.

Transcriptions and photographs were taken with the gracious permission of the
current owner, Mr. J.B. Smith.
