Paul W. Smith

Paul W. Smith, 80, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, in
Austin. Graveside services were Sunday, July 15, at Cottonwood Cemetery in
Bryson with Bro. B.J. Nunley officiating. 

Arrangements were under the direction of Coker Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born 
Sept. 15, 1926, in Jacksboro to the late Newton F. and Alpha [Porter] Smith. 
He marrierd “Tommie” Caldwell May 29, 1948, in Bryson. He worked for Hawkins
Funeral Home in Jacksboro for 40 years and at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin 
for for five years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during 
World War II and was a member of the Methodist church. He was preceded in 
death by a sister, Leora Roberts, and a son, Gary
Paul Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Tommie Smith of Austin; a daughter, Edie Heuss of
Round Rock; and two grandsons.
