CHARLES SMITH

  Charles Smith, son of the late George and Cora Heath Smith passed away near 
Vim, about 1 1/2 miles south of Meyersdale, on Sunday, December 7th, at the age 
of 24 years, 2 months and 26 days, after an illness of two weeks.  Mr. Smith was 
born at Blythedale, Pa., September 11, 1905, and since the death of his father 
in November 1918, he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Solomon near 
Vim.  He is survived by one brother, Walter Smith of Frank, Pa., and two 
sisters, Alverta Smith and Genevieve Smith, both of Meyersdale.  He was a member 
of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church.  Interment was made at West Newton 
Wednesday, December 10th, with R. Reich & Son officiating as undertakers.
