  SMITH
  
    Charles Smith, 74, Ligonier RD 5, died June 7, 1993, in Latrobe
  Area Hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1918, in Pleasantville, Bedford County,
  son of the late Clarence and Olive (Miller) Smith.  Survived by wife,
  Florence Moore, and these stepchildren: Russell Friedline,
  Woodbridge, Va.; Charles Friedline and Flo Smith, both of Somerset,
  and  Rex Friedline, Ligonier; 10 step-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary
  Sorber, Johnstown, and Rena Graham, Va., and brother, Ivory Smith,
  Altoona.  Retired veteran of World War II.  Served as captain in the
  infantry in service in the Philippines.  Friends received from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home,
  where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. William
  Dodson.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
