EDMUND BLAIR SMITH
Edmund Blair Smith, 79, 227 Emily street, died this morning at Allegany 
Hospital following a paralytic stroke suffered two weeks ago. He is survived by 
four daughters, Mary L. Smith, at home; Mrs. Helen E. O’Neal, Mrs. Pearl Hinkle 
and Mrs. Minnie M. Middleton, all of Cumberland; four sons, Raymond B. Smith, 
Pittsburgh; Edmund E., Robert G. and Frank L. Smith, all of Cumberland; two 
sisters, Mrs. Helen Robinette and Mrs. Clara E. Troupe, of Fostoria, Ohio; and 
11 grandchildren.  He was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist 
Church and of the Duke Memorial Bible Class.
