An alphabetized list for the Colony of South Carolina, based on records of 1716 to 1783. Includes record of 341 Loyalists, 1230 Petitioners, 2685 Residents, and 98 Warrants for Land. An excellent starting point in searching for early Carolina colonists.

Greenville Co. "Muster Roll" - 1756
About the year 1750, the "Piedmont" section of South Carolina began to receive its first permanent settlers. This new acquisition from the Indians comprised the territory now constituting the counties of Edgefield, McCormick, Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Newberry, Union, Spartanburg, York, Cherokee, Chester, Fairfield, Richland, and a portion of Lexington of South Carolina. 1771 Pardon of the back county "Regulators"
A transcription of the royal pardon of the group of men known as "The Regulators" given by Lord Charles Grenville via Captain Montagu, General Governor and Commander in Chief of the Northern area of the State. The document was dated 31 October 1771 and contains the names of the men pardoned.
