Taken from the Westmoreland County Historical Society Cemetery Guide: The Stahlstown Methodist Protestant Church was organized in 1832. In the earliest days preachers traveled from Connellsville to Coalpit by foot, stopping over at Stahlstown and preaching at private homes. The first building was destroyed by fire and was replaced by another one. A cemetery surrounds the current property. It is no longer considered a church cemetery, but serves the entire community and surrounding area.

DIRECTIONS TO CEMETERY: Take SR 711 into Stahlstown where the road intersects with SR 130. The cemetery is 0.1 miles south of intersection, next to the Stahlstown Trinity United Methodist Church.
