text transcription of the cemetery reading
Cemetery reading contributed by Ann Chasar.
Digitals photos of the tombstones contributed by Bruce Felix.
This cemetery was recorded circa 1934 as part of the WPA Historical Records Survey. The WPA Cemetery recording reported 57 unmarked or unreadable stones (native, wooden). Of these, 28 were adult per WPA. The WPA Cemetery reading recorded this cemetery as being in Shade Township. Hooversville sits astride the border of Shade Township and Quemahoning Township. The cemetery is actually in Quemahoning Township, but was thought to be in Shade Township by the WPA workers.
The 1930's Cemetery reading was updated in 2014 by Ann Chasar and includes all records through 2014.
