RIDING CLUB
"'Tis Folly to Walk."
Very little of a definite character is known of this club, as a clause in its Constitution and By Laws positively forbids its members to speak of its business or secrets in the presence of anyone not belonging to the mysterious circle. Several detectives have been long at work upon the case, but have discovered nothing more noteworthy than that the club's "ponies" are secured in lots from a Philadelphia firm which deals in contraband goods, and that the girls comprising the Senior division in Latin are among the most influential members, and fill the most important offices. Some of the Middlers have been admitted, but the Juniors are still on probation, though several have striven hard to lasso a "pony" somewhere.
NOTORIETY CLUB
We, a few stranded individuals, desiring to rend the veil of obscurity and become better known to the world, do hereby band ourselves together to secure our mutual advancement. The objects of this club are three in number. First and chiefly, - The exaltation of its members. Second - The promotion of the departure of any students objectionable to any member of this club. Third - This club shall be composed of members of the faculty and students of this school. All members are required to take an active part in the proceedings of the club.
