Dr. Emanuel W. Long (left), of Manheim, with Mr. Hamacker.

Dr. Long was the son Emanuel and Catherine Long. He was born

4/22/1837 & died 12/1/1899. Married (1) Fanny Carter (2) Florence Ida Furhman.

Blacksmith by trade and owned a shop in Manheim. He later went back to school & became a

Veterinary Surgeon. Buried at Fairview Cemetery in Manheim. Cemetery register states

that he died from epilepsy but granddaughter Florence Long states he died from a heart attack.
