This is a picture of my Grandmother, Bertha Mae Stephens Corob, holding my 
father, Nick Corob.  My grandmother's parents were John Stephens and Mary 
Hagans from Brush Valley, Indiana County, PA.  My grandmother was 1/4 blooded 
American Indian on her mother's side.  My grandmother's grandmother was a full 
blooded American Indian, and lived on a reservation in Pennsylvania, and she 
was married to full blooded Spaniard who was murdered late in his life.  He 
was in his shed, and someone split his head open with an axe.  We are trying 
to research this side of the family.  My Grandmother Bertha was a school 
teacher in Indiana County.  Her and my grandfather (Russian) ran a boarding 
house in Indiana County for some time.  My grandmother was a child at heart 
and lived to be 96 years old.  She was born on July 29th, 1900 and died in 
1996.  She was photo'd at 85 sled riding and was totally blind.
