Section 2000 click on map for enlarged view SECTION 2000 This area was previously known as the SECOND ADDITION and/or the McMASTERS PLAN. It generally consists of five areas, as follows: Main Lots: This area was surveyed about 1928. It originally consisted of 509 lots numbered 2001 to 2505, with 16 lot numbers missing, each lot being 16' by 8', each having 5 gravesites. The missing lot numbers (reason unknown, probably due to cemetery perimeters) are: 2055, 2116, 2172, 2225, 2227, 2229, 2231, 2282, 2336, 2388, 2390, 2436, 2438, 2472, 2496, and 2498. There are several lots having less than 5 sites due to different size lots. Within each lot the individual sites are numbered left to right (south to north). Some lots are unavailable for burials, due to the maintenance building and the parking lot. Maintenance and Parking: As noted above, there are at least a portion of 9 burial lots in the Main Lots are unavailable for use because of the Maintenance Building and its adjacent parting lot. Affected are lots 2085 through 2090, and 2145, 2147, and 2149. Mausoleum: A single-family mausoleum is situated on several lots within the Main Lots. The owners also have purchased considerable property surrounding the building, all located in an area only marginally suitable for other type development. At least a portion of 18 burial lots in the Main Lots are involved: 2325 through 2335, and 2381 through 2387. Historic North: These lots are along the western edge of Section 2000, in an unused area between Section 2000 and the Beatty Lots of Section 3000. It consists of lot numbers 2600 through 2607, skipping numbers 2602 and 2603 where there is a question as to enough space. Triangle Single Lots: These lots, partly in Section 1000, are described in that Section. |
