The lady on the left is Callie Burke (March 1876,Indiana - October
1952, Yale, Payne, Oklahoma). the man on the right is the mystery.
We believe he is her second husband and hope someone might be able to identify him. the picture was made in the 1920s or 1930s in Payne OK. Callie and (1st husband) William Thomas Burke had 5 children, Andy, George, Ira and Ola Burke Cameron and Oklahoma Jewel Burke Ross Hightower. The last 3 being born in OK and the first 2 in MO. If anyone can help identify the mystery gentleman, I would be most grateful! Please send any info to: Bonnie Meador

Callie Burke born @ 1876 in Indiana, married William Thomas
Burke. They had five children and then divorced. William remarried and moved
back to Missouri. I have loads of info on Callie and Williams
children.
Callie appears in the 1920 Payne County census with two children, Ola and Ira and her mother Lizzie (Elizabeth) Smith and her son Harley. . We believe she remarried and she was a homebody. On her daughter's death certificate (my grandmother) the name is Callie Sebrin(g). I have a family photo of all Callie's children gathered outside with an elderly man (?) and someone has written on it "Mother's funeral, Yale, Oklahoma, October 26, 1952. This elderly gentleman is the same one in the 1922 picture. I have sent to the state for a death certificate with the last names Smith, Burke and Sebrin(g) and received a letter of nothing being found. If I can contact someone who can check marriage records in Payne county or pay someone in the county office to do a lookup I would appreciate it. Can you help me - direct me to the folks I need to contact. Please send any info to: Bonnie Meador |
