This cemetery is now called Pioneer Cemetery, but was once called Old Gravel Hill Cemetery. It's located on Page Street, on the south west side of Middleport. It is quite large and well kept, but the pollution from the powerplant at Cheshire has ruined the stones and many can not be read. There is at least one Revolutionary War Soldier and quite a few Civil War Soldiers buried here including Mathias Fife, who was with Co. H, 53rd OVI and who no longer has a stone, (or at least one readable).
