I wish to present the transcriptions of the loved ones buried at Jersey Universalist Church Cemetery. This cemetery is maintained by Jersey Township Trustees, as it has been in their care since 1930's when the church ground outside of the driveway became township property and responsibility. As always, I make every effort to take my time and correctly read the stones. due to the weatherization & deterioration of some stones, I make no warranty of being 100% correct. The cemetery is located in western Licking County, near the bordering county of Franklin and village of New Albany on state route 161, Dublin-Granville Rd. & at the north west corner of county road 26, Harrison Rd. The nicely cared for cemetery is very old, but still in use and surrounds the church on three sides. The earliest burial appears to be that of Sarah Myer, on 25 Feb. 1832. Because of the layout of this cemetery, I have divided my readings into three sections; West, North, and East; ie,[ Row 1E., iv.], would translate to 1st row running east of church drive and 4th stone. Actual transcriptions read in rows from south to north These directions describe that part of the cemetery in relationship to the church, which is located inside a U shaped drive surrounding the church. The cemetery grounds being located outside of the U shaped drive. There's ample parking facility beside and behind church grounds. My transcription project started on 21 May 2000 and completed readings and photo work on 10 June, 2000. I am solely responsible for readings contained in this report. Robert M.
