Bell Cemetery Cemetery & Bell Church of Christ. Brothers Benjamin Bell, Sr. (not the Rev.) and James Bell, II, arrived in this area about 1813.
They established the Bell Church of Christ about 1854, Benjamin Bell donated the land.

Bell, Rev. Benjamin, Jr., died Mar. 18, 1884, aged 72y Rev. Benjamin Bell, Sr., was born Jan. 19, 1812 in Greene County PA. Rev. Benjamin Bell, Sr. is one of James & Elizabeth Bell, II's eight children. Click here for close view of memorial. |
Bell, James, 1780 - 1867; Elizabeth (Hays), 1779 - 1820 -Buried at Owl Creek-, -From Green Co., PA, 1815- James Bell, II, was born September 19, 1780, in Washington Co., PA; he died June 4, 1867 in Morgan Township, Knox Co., Ohio. The incription/memorial next to James is his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Bell, born November 25, 1779 in Berkeley Co., Virginia; died December 8,1820, Morgan Twp., Knox Co., and is buried at Owl Creek Cemetery located in the same township. |
