Darst, Jacob, Oct. 30, 1785, Franklin Co., VA - March 28, 1852 Jacob was the son of Samuel & Mary (Miller) Darst. He married Mary Coy on Dec. 1, 1810 in Greene Co., OH. They were the parents of 6 known children. |
Darst, Mary, born June 22, 1791, aged 29yrs 9mo & 1 da Mary Coy, wife of Jacob Darst. She was the daughter of Jacob b. 1741 & Susannah b. 1754, Coy. She was the mother of 4 girls & 2 boys. She came to Beavercreek Twp. when she was only 10 yrs old by way of Ohio River on a flatbottom boat, and then the family traveled by wagons to the Dayton area in 1801. |
Darst, Ruhanna, died Feb. 13, 1878, aged 81yrs, 10mo & 15 d Ruhanna Moler, dau. of George Adam & Mary (Banks) Moler, born April 28, 1796, harpers Ferry, VA, died Montgomery Co., OH. She was the second wife of Jacob Darst, the couple married July 9, 1821, she became the step-mother to his 6 children from his first marriage. Ruhanna perhaps arrived in the Dayton area as young girl with her older brother to care for her until she married. |
