Hummerich, Jacob, died Sept. 27, 1876, age 53y 1m 20d ~Come Ye Blessed~
Come morning friends now cause to sleep.
My pain troubels now have ceased.
Mysleeping dust lies here alrest while recline on Jesus breast.

This is a picture of the stone after I had it repaired, cleaned and reset on 3 July, 2002.
Mary, his wife, died Nov. 13, 1926, age 88y 10m 8d
Of everyone that I have talked to, no one knew where Mary (Schmutz) Hummerich was buried , until I found proof of her burial. This is the headstone of my GGGrandparents. The closed book on top means: Jacob & Mary are Christians. The star means: Death could not overpower the Light of the Spirit which still shines in the darkness. And last there is the open gate which means the Spirit going through Heavenly entrance.
