This cemetery is located just off State Route 7, onto Route 554. Go over railroad tracks to the second road to the left (Gravel Hill Rd. or Gravel Hill Cemetery Rd.). Follow this road to the top of the hill and in between the two sections of Gravel Hill Cemetery on the right is Turkey Run Rd., take this road and just before you drop over the crest of the hill, look on the next hilltop on the right side of the road. McCarty Cemetery is located on the top of that hill. You will have to park at the bottom of the hill along the road, walk across the footbridge, and climb the hill to the cemetery. There are others buried there in addition to McCarty family. Beth has a list of all burials which she obtained from a mailing list. Due to copyright issues, unable to post the entire content here, but can mention there are additional surnames including McCarty, Shuler, Rife, Williams, Hoffman, Ray, Hawley, Mabe, McMillian, Woodard, Swisher & Arnold.
