Smith/Addison Cemetery, Jackson Township, Ohio. Text Transcription | ||||||||
TRANSCRIBERS NOTES: (1) Many of the older death certificates have the burial place listed as Addison. This is a current and active cemetery. (2) In 1842 the name of the town was changed to Addison, but reverted back to Christiansburg in 1892. The Smith Cemetery was named after the Smith family who donated the land. (3) The earliest burial obtained from monuments is 1849. This is an active cemetery. (4) The resources for reading this cemetery were from the WPA project by the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR). (5) This reading is subjective due to the scope of the project by the DAR organization. ************************************************ Document MAY NOT BE copied without written authorization from Karen Johnson-Heber.
