Mount Zion Cemetery, Jackson Township

-Location: Jackson Township, Champaign County Ohio
-History:
(1) This was cemetery adjoined with the Mt. Zion Church. Mt Zion church
was formed in 1841 in the house of John Johnson. Mt. Zion Church was formed by
Elder Fuson(former pastor of Myrtle Tree Church). The church was built in
1851. Mt. Zion Baptist church as a branch from the Honey Creek Church. John
Beaty donated the land for the church as well as the land for the cemetery.
(2)Additional Info December 2013: Mt. Zion Baptist church was formed from Honey Creek
and Myrtle Tree Baptist Church in 1851. The land for the cemetery was donated by John Beaty.
