Walter P. Summers, 79

Walter  Philip  Summers,  79, of Grangeville, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004,
at  Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston of health complications from an
earlier fall at his home.

He  was  born  May 12, 1925, in his family's farmhouse near Wauconda, Wash.,
to  Walt  and  Olympia  Coffelt  Summers.  During his early life he lived in
Wauconda  and  Tonasket,  Wash., and worked on the family ranch. In 1958, he
moved  with  his  family  to the Cottonwood/Grangeville area. He worked as a
millworker and also for several years with the McGregor Company.
