Priest River Times Priest River, Idaho Submitted by: Kristy Taylor [muddypaw@onemain.com] Carl Dalebout, 74 Carl Dalebout, 74, passed away on Sept. 18, 2004 in the arms of his loving family after a year-long battle with cancer. Carl was born in Columbus, N.D., on July 3, 1930 to Nickolas and Maatje Dalebout. He moved to Olympia, Wash. In 1947, and graduated from William Wynlock Miller High School in 1948. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and served four years during the Korean War. In 1956 he married Rosella Lemons of Okanogan, Wash., and moved to Ephrata. He was employed with the state of Washington and retired in 1982. Carl is survived by his wife, Rosella, five sons and their wives; Carl James and Laurie of Soldotna, Ala.; Nickolas and Denise of Port Orchard, Wash.; Douglas and Donna of Chehalis, Wash.; Joseph and Teresa of Soldotna, Ala.; and Daniel of Scott Lake, Wash.; five sisters; Mary Denton of Walla Walla, Wash., Jackie Aleffi of Spokane, Wash.' Jenny Dillon of Scott Lake, Wash.; Nellie Brown of Priest River, Idaho; and Cornelia Cross of Tumwater, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers; Marinus, Cornelius, Michael, Sam and John, and one sister, Tannica Larson. The funeral was held on Sept. 23, 2004 in Tumwater, Wash.
