Mrs. Arnold was born in Cummings (Hampton County) October 24, 1915 a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Ulmer and Loutilla Gertrude Mixon Ulmer. She and her late husband, Turner Wilkerson Arnold owned and operated the Yemassee Dry Cleaners in Yemassee for many years. She was a member of the Yemassee Baptist Church and had attended the Southside Baptist Church in Florence. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roderick Franklin and Sandra Arnold of Florence; granddaughter and husband, Cindeth and Wick Jackson of Cochabamba, Bolivia, South America; grandsons and wives, Lt. Col. Randall Todd and Lea Arnold of O'Fallon, Illinois; and Russell Scott and Nell Arnold of Florence. There are 8 great granddaughters. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Carolinian Home at 718 South Dargan Street in Florence, with funeral services Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Yemassee Baptist Church in Yemassee, S.C. (Hampton County) with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee, directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME in Hampton. Friends may call at the chapel in Hampton Thursday during the day until 2:30 p.m. when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.
