HIOTT, SR., Arthur The relatives and friends of Mr. Arthur Lee Hiott Sr., husband of Doris 
Butler Hiott are invited to attend his funeral service Sunday afternoon at 2 O'clock in James
A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be in St. Paul's Episcopal Church

8 o'clock this evening. Arrangement by JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME 303 South Main Street, 
Summerville, South Carolina. 

HIOTT, SR., Arthur Arthur Lee Hiott, Sr., 89, of Charleston, husband of Doris Butler Hiott, 
died Wednesday in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20, 2001, 
at 2 o'clock in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be in St. Paul's 
Episcopal Church Cemetery, Hollywood. Friends may call at JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, 
SUMMERVILLE, from 6 until 8 o'clock, Saturday evening. Born on March 25, 1912, in Yonges 
Island, S.C., a son of the late Clarence Lee Hiott and Mattie Lee Collins Hiott. He was a 
graduate of St. Paul's High School, Hollywood, S.C. He was a member of Checkers & Clerks Branch 
of International Long Shoremans Association of Charleston. He was a retired Terminal Supervisor 
with South Carolina State Ports Authority. He was a member of First Southern Methodist Church, 
North Charleston. Surviving are, wife, Doris Butler Hiott of Charleston, S.C.; four sons, Arthur
 L. Hiott, Jr., of Charleston, S.C., Richard E. Hiott of Charleston, S.C., Edwin "Tim" Hiott of 
Summerville, S.C., Charles D. Hiott of Brunswick, Ga.; three daughters, Polly H. Snodgrass of 
Charleston, S.C., Christine H. O'Toole of Hollywood, S.C., Doris Ann Gilstrap of Charleston, S.C.
; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister, Pearl H. Moore of Charleston, S.C. (May 18,
