Martha Hutchinson Howell, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., died Friday, June 22, 
2001, in a local hospital. Friends and relatives may call at J. HENRY 
STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, on Monday, June 25, 2001, from 6 p.m.
until 8 p.m. Funeral notice to follow.   (The Post and Courier June

Martha Hutchinson Howell, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., died Friday, June 22, 
2001, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 
June 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Hibben United Methodist Church, Mt. 
Pleasant. Mrs. Howell was born in Charleston, S.C. She was the daughter
of Hiram J. Hutchinson and Helen Likes Hutchinson. She was a member of 
Hibben United Methodist Church and St. Barnabas United Methodist Church
, Arlington, Texas. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and 
attended the College of Charleston. She was a member of the Junior 
League of Arlington, Texas; active member of Life Gift of Fort Worth, 
Texas; member of Junior Women's Club of Arlington, Texas; former board 
member and chair person of Small Group Ministries of St. Barnabas 
United Methodist Church of Arlington, Texas. Arrangements by J. HENRY 
STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL. Surviving are her husband Joel Wayne 
Howell of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Jayne Allison Howell of 
Washington, D.C.; Joanna Marie Howell of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, 
Susan Hutchinson Snover and Joanne Hutchinson Hair of Mt. Pleasant; 
two nephews and one niece; and her mother-in-law Lucy Edwards Howell. 
Memorials may be made to St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, Building
Fund, Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington, Texas 76016. Friends and 
relatives may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL on 
Monday, June 25, 2001, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. (The Post and Courier

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Wayne Howell are invited
to attend the funeral services of the latter, Tuesday, June 26, 2001, 
in Hibben United Methodist Church, at 11 o'clock. Interment, Mount 
Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes
