Hogeboom, 63, a retired advertising executive, died Friday, July 13, 2001, in Charleston, S.C. Born June 20, 1938, in Cobleskill, N.Y., to the late Leroy Hogeboom and Adella Hogeboom (nee Posson). A long-time resident of Schoharie and Montgomery counties, New York area, he held several positions, including general manager for Lee Publications, Palantine Bridge, N.Y. He retired to Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was a member of Marketplace Church, Surfside Beach, S.C., and the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Socastee, S.C. Mr. Hogeboom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Stanton Hogeboom; five sons, Gary Hogeboom Joanne), Greer, S.C., Dennis Hogeboom (Susan), Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Kent Hogeboom (Deborah), Fort Plain, N.Y., Alan Hogeboom (Patricia), Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Darrin Hogeboom (fiancee Tammy Armstrong), Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; mother, Adella Hogeboom, Cobleskill, N.Y.; four brothers, R. Wayne Hogeboom, Fountain Inn, S.C., Floyd Hogeboom, Malone, N.Y., Kenneth Hogeboom, Schenectady, N.Y., and Leroy Hogeboom, Jr., Voorheesville, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His brother Donald Hogeboom preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2001, at 11.m., in the chapel of MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends, Sunday, July 15, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A memorial service will also be held in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Society, designated for Multiple Myeloma Research, P.O. Box 210936, Columbia, S.C. 29221.
