Bertha Phillips DuPree, 69, of Beaver Dam, S.C., a retired teachers 
aide for the Berkeley County School District, died Friday at her 
residence.The funeral will be 11 a.m., Monday, in the Hood's Chapel 
United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Johnson Cemetery, 
Beaver Dam. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER,
from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2001.Mrs. DuPree was born 
Febuary 27, 1932, in McBeth, S.C., a daughter of Rannie Adrian Phillips
, Sr., and Bessie Mills Phillips. She is the widow of Calvin "Sunnie" 
DuPree and was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Irene DuPree. 
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the 
Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Berkeley 
High School and received her Associates Degree from the Citadel.
Surviving are, three daughters, Rosie Carr, Sally Bowick and Sandy 
Casselman, all of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Dot Faulk of St. Stephen 
and Ruth Dyches of Charleston; two brothers, Donald Gene Phillips of 
Kings, N.C., and William Roger Phillips of Bonneau; and two 
grandchildren, L.J. Carr and Heather Carr. (The Post and Courier

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Bertha P. DuPree, of Beaver Dam, S.C.
, are invited to attend her funeral services, 11 a.m., this Monday 
morning, July 23, 2001, in the Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church.

DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, until 9 a.m. and then at the
