Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday evening. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 312, Moncks Corner , S.C. 29461, or the Pinopolis United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, P.O. Box 521, Pinopolis, S.C. 29469. (The Post and Courier July 26, 2001) BATCHELOR, JR., W. William M. Batchelor, Jr., 68, of Pinopolis, a retired office service manager with Albany International, died Tuesday at a Charleston hospital. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, at Pinopolis United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL OF MONCKS CORNER, will be private. Mr. Batchelor was born January 2, 1933, in Colerain, N.C., a son of William M. Batchelor, Sr., and Bettie Martin Batchelor. He was a member of Pinopolis United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board. He was a North Carolina State University graduate. He was a mason, shriner and a past master of Berkeley Masonic Lodge #269 AFM. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Maxine McRoy Batchelor of Pinopolis; son, Stephen Batchelor of Sumter; two daughters, Denise B. Collins of Wendall, N.C.; Michelle B. Howard of James Island; two brothers, Arnold Batchelor of Franklin, N.C.; Robert Batchelor of Tarboro, N.C.; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Howard, Evan Howard, Keith Howard, Francesca Batchelor and William Batchelor.
