TITLE: Quentin Lowell Scott SOURCE: The Post and Courier, Jan 3, 2001 SUBMITTED: The Post and Courier FORMATTED: Kim Grissom, Apr 2001 *********************************************************************************************** Quentin Lowell Scott, 80, of Mount Pleasant, SC., died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at a Charleston Hospital. He was born December 11, 1920, in London, Kentucky, to the late Lela Parker Scott and Lawrence A. Scott. He was a graduate of Florida State University and had a masters degree from the Citadel. Mr. Scott was retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in Europe in World War II, in Thailand in the Vietnam War, and in Afica. He was also retired from the Charleston County School District where he was the principal of the R.B. Stall High School, and retired from Wando High School in 1987. Mr. Scott was a past member and Senior Warden of the vestry at St. Andrews Episcaopal Church in Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of East Coope Baptist Church. He was also a past member of the Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Scott is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth C. Scott of Mt. Pleasant; a son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin L. and Lauren F. Scott of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Mrs. John Stanton of Columbis, Tennesse, Mrs. William House of London, Kentucky, and Mrs. Kenneth Roberts, of Richmond, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Christopher P. Holland of Raleigh, N.C., Ramsey M.P. Scott of Charleston, Chelsea S.M. Scott of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Celia-Dawn Scott of Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service for Mr. Scott will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2001, 1:00 PM at East Cooper Baptist Church. A family burial service will be held in London, Kentucky on Friday, January 5, 2001.
