John Bailey Childress  December 10, 1959 Benton Courier

John Bailey Childress, 80, a retired farmer of Benton died Sunday
at his home.
He was a Baptist and a Mason.
Survivors include 5 sons, Ralph Childress of Kansas City, Charley
Childress of California and George, Roy and John Henry of Benton; 3
daughters, Mrs. S. A. Johnson of Missouri, Mrs. B. F. Earnheart and
Mrs. L. A. Harris of Benton; a brother, N. H. Childress of Little Rock; a
sister, Mrs. Mattie Akins of Benton; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial was
at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
