EM SNELL Emmet, Feb. 22, Probably never before has our little city suffered a shock as severe as the one which followed the announcement yesterday of the death of Mrs. Em Snell. Universally loved by our community, the sad event was felt by everyone in a town where she had lived for nearly a year as the wife of Jno. E. Snell, and where previously she had taught in the Emmet public school as Miss Em Christopher. The funeral occurred this morning at the family residence at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. L.J. Ridling, and the burial took place in the Snell Cemetery, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends immediately afterwards. Mrs. Snell was one of the best women known to Emmet, and her death is a source of extreme regret to everyone. To the bereaved husband, who at the time of the sad event was confined to his bed with pneumonia, Emmet extends its sincerest sympathy and to the little son, but a few hours old, we hope for a most useful manhood embodying the splendid virtues of father and mother. The funeral was attended by a large number of Prescott friends, including Mr. and Mrs. Geo Christopher, Mr. and Mrs. E.Y. Blakely, and Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Elgen, Mrs. J.B. Whitside, Mrs. J.B. Warren, Miss Blake and Mr. Ed Hood. ************************************************************************
