G. ALLISON ARAKDELPHIA -- Ruby Langston Glover Allison, 84, of Arkadelphia, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, in a local hospital. A native of Alpine, she was the daughter of the late S. K. Eliza Williams Langston. A retired nurse for the Clark County Memorial Hospital and a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors include three daughters, Opal Jane O’Neal of Hot Springs, Garnett Turner of Garland, Texas and Jewel Vaughan of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Estelle Langston of Glenwood; one adopted grandson, Ronnie Stricklyn; one adopted great-grandson, Scotty Stricklyn; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Thomason and Elder E. R. Tillery officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben O’Neal III, Ben O’Neal IV, Tom O’Neal, Sam O’Neal, Bill Newsam, Larry Thomason and Raymond Thomason. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery. ----------------- EDITH W. "Slats" Guin, 78, of Malvern, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1992, in a Little Rock hospital. A native of Vernon, Alabama, he was the son of the late Walter Guin and Lucy Mae Mathews Guin. A self-employed contractor and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Malvern. Survivors include his wife, Lorene Harper Guin of Malvern; one son, Larry Guin of Malvern; one daughter, Betty Ann Guin Sheets of Martinsville, Indiana; three sisters, Irene Aldridge, Lucille Gregory, and Ruby Hedges, all of Malvern; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Morris Cloud officiating. ------------ MARIE JENSEN Services for Marie Jensen, 73, of Hot Springs, who died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William B. McWha officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. --------------- DEBBIE L. JONES Debbie Lynn Jones, 24, of Hot Springs, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, in a local hospital. A lifetime resident of Hot Springs, she was a teaching assistant with the Head Start program and a Baptist. Survivors include two daughters, Amy Danielle and Emily Renee, both of Hot Springs; her mother, Martha Bonnie Jones of Hot Springs; four brothers, Jerry Wayne Donn, Larry R. Jones, Sam Jones and Danny Jones, all of Hot Springs; three sisters, Geraldine Burriss, Mary Jane Smith and Cathy Chamberlain, all of Hot Springs; two half-sisters; three half-brothers, her grandmother, Dollie Byrd of Hot Springs; a special friend, Marvin Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don O’Keane and Melvin Crawford officiating. LAMBERT AMITY -- Leonia Copeland Lambert, 95, of Amity, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1992, in an Arkadelphia hospital. The daughter of James Andrew and Sippie Ann Phillips Copeland. She was a retired cook for Amity High School, a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ where she served as church clerk and the widow of Clifford Lambert. Survivors include one daughter, Chloie Runyan of Amity; three brothers, Curtis Copeland, of Amity, Clyde Copeland of Hot Springs and Clarence Copeland of Malvern; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great- grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Shiloh Church of Christ near Amity with the Revs. John Small and George Whitley officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Runyan, Troy Runyan, Phil Roberts, Tommy Webb, Russ Goodyear, Gary Lambert and Danny Lambert. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund. -------------- JOSEPH OGLESBY with picture BLAKELY-- Joseph Purtle Oglesby, 77, of Blakely, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, in a local hospital. A lifetime resident of Blakely, he was retired from Weyerhaeuser Timberlands and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva. Survivors include four sons, Larry Tabor and Jerry Oglesby, both of Hot Springs, Joe Oglesby of Bismarck and Dwayne Oglesby of Jessieville; one daughter, Jackie Henson of Pearcy; two brothers, Ralph Tash of Elk Horn, Indiana, and Clarence Tash of Fort Worth, Texas; nine granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ near Lambert with the Rev. Robert Hampton Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hot Springs Funeral Home. The family will be at his daughter’s house on Highway 347 off Amity Road. ----------------- BENNIE J. RADFORD HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Bennie J. Radford, of Hot Springs Village, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, in a local hospital. She was a housewife and a member of the Barcelona Baptist Church and the Baptist Women. Survivors include her husband, George H. Radford Jr. of Hot Springs Village; one daughter, Martha Clift of Austin, Texas; one brother, Veron Johnston of Douglas, Alabama; and two sisters, Clara Whiseant of Gadsden, Alabama, and Vernice Meyer of St. Louis, Missouri. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village with the Revs. Tim Redding and Kenny Moore officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sharp, 72, of Warren, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1992, in a Little Rock hospital A native of Warren, he was the son of the late Oscar Charles Sharp and Annie Bea Harding Shapp. A retired consignee for the Mobile Oil Co., a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren. Survivors include his wife, Martha Bess Thompson Sharp of Warren; one son, William Frank "Bill" Sharp of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Hugh Sharp of Monticello; one sister, Frances Sharp Curry of Hot Springs; and two grand- children. Services will be at 2 p. m. today at Frazer’s Chapel with the Rev. Howard Williams officiating. The family will be at 207 West Ash St. in Warren. TART Edward Mims Tart, 78, of Hot Springs, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, in Hot Springs. He was a retired steel worker and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II in the Pacific theater. Survivors include two brothers, Joe Tart and Raymond Tart, both of Hot Springs; a close friend, Geneva Williams of Hot Springs; two nephews, Roy D. Tart and Brian Tart, both of Hot Springs; and four nephews, Roy D. Tart and Brian Tart, both of Hot springs; and four nieces, Glenda Godwin, Ann Mooney, Kathy Talley and Sandra Mitzel, all of Hot Springs. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Loyd Roper officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy D. The widow of Clifford Wilson and the daughter of Marley and Nancy Howell Garner. She was a lifelong resident of Amity and a member of the Amity Assembly of God Church. Survivors include three sons, Dewey Wilson, Marvel Wilson and Alvin Wilson, all of Amity; one daughter, Roma Conine of Amity; one sister, Norma Lee of Delight; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
