Born Apr., 4, 1914, at Mount Ida to Ed and Beulah Harper, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilburn “Bunny” Armon; one son, Darrell Armon; and two sisters, Wilma Edgin and Bonnie Lowery. Survivors include four sons, Harold Armon and Johnny Armon, both of Newhall, Charles Armon of Little Rock, Calif., and Donald "Ducky" Armon of Palmdale, Calif.; two daughters, Margaret Westbrook of Palmdale and Susie Anderson of Canyon Country, Calif.; two brothers, Ervin Harper and Edward Harper, both of Hot Springs; three sisters, Nellie Rowland, Sylvia Parker and Lora Outler, all of Hot Springs; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. The service will be 10 a.m. today in Eternal Valley Mortuary. Burial will be in Eternal Valley Cemetery. RALPH L. BARRETT **************** ROCKPORT, TEXAS--Ralph L. Barrett, 82, of Rockport, TX., formerly of Malvern, died Sun., Jan. 27, 2002. Born April 21, 1919, in East Texas to Fred and Velma Turner Barrett, he was retired from Mid-State Construction, a U. W. Army WW II veteran, Baroid plant heavy equipment operator, member of Round hill Hunting Club and charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Lena Estes Barrett. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Barrett Gore of Malvern and Janie Barrett Trautwein of Jonesboro; one son, Jimmy Barrett of Aberdeen, Md.; one sister, Bennie Moore of Rockport; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The service will be 3 p.m. Thurs. in J. A. Funk Funeral Home Chapel, Malvern, with the Rev. Calvin Nutt officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Wilson, Paul Cunningham, Jimmy Voss, Jimmy Jackson, Billy Jackson, Bill Bailey, Ronnie Dickerson and Gary Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers are Ray “Whitey” Shain, Johnny Hathcock, Garland Gore, Gary Thornberry and Frank Mayton. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Malvern. He was a steelworker and deacon of rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ. Survivors include two sons, Carl Jones and Charles Jones, both of Gary, Ind.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Marie and Frank McMillian and Rochell and Albert Gipson, all of Aberdeen, Miss., Jamesetta and Leroy Smith of Hot Springs and Andrea Arlene Sanders of Amory; two brothers, Bishop George T. Howell of Amory and Andrew Howell, of Athens, Miss.; three sisters, Tennie Buckingham and Mary Lindsey, both of Aberdeen, and Christine Smith of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The service will be 11 a.m. Sat. in Rose of Sharon COGIC with Elder Jessie Hutton officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Rest, Aberdeen. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Born Sept. 29, 1922, at Alliance, Ohio, to Lewis A. and Mary Edna Morris Rowley, he was a U. S. Navy WW II veteran, retired Civil Service electronics technician and member of NARF, NRA AND DAV. He was predeceased by one sister; Mary Rowley; and two aunts, Mable Stackhouse and Lucille Rowley. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rowley of Hot Springs; and two cousins, Thora Jones and Glen Rowley. The body will be cremated. Memorials may be made to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Mont., or Diabetes Foundation.
