Mary Alice Hoyt, 74, of Harrison, AR, died Wednesday, August 20, 1997 at
North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.  Funeral is 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 23 at Christeson Funeral Home with Gregg Cantrell
officating.  Burial is in White Church Cemetary.  Visitation will be from
7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born April 5, 1923 in Newton County a daughter of Harvey and Drada
Edgmon Jones.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Freda Bradshaw, a brother Earl
Jones and her parents.

Survivors include her husband Hayden H. Hoyt of Harrison; a son, James
Carl Thornton of Torrance, CA; two daughters, Mary Sue Brenton of
Fruitland, Ida., and Lorene "Lori" McCoy of Harrison;  two brothers Devoe
Jones of Little Rock and J.A. Jones of Yakima, WA.,; four sisters, Irene
Russell of LaPalma, CA., Eula Adams of Harrison, Buna Faye Adams of
Harrison and Dorothy Moore of Harrison; six grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Arvin Adams, Darvin Adams, Matthew Adams, Tom Thompson,
T.J. Thompson and Doyle Massengale.

Honorary pallbearers are Drs. Ali Abdelaal and J.S. Padilla.
